Southern Cross Austereo has announced the appointment of Dave Cameron as its Melbourne General Manager.
In the role, Cameron will be responsible for running SCA’s day-to-day Melbourne operations.
“After two decades of working across SCA’s content, I’m excited to now be taking on a broader management role in Melbourne,” said Cameron.
“Melbourne has been the home of so many of SCA’s biggest and best shows, and I’m proud to be working alongside all our amazingly creative and dedicated Melbourne staff who are responsible for bringing our audiences great audio and visual entertainment.”
Cameron steps into the role on July 1 and will report to Chief Operating Officer John Kelly.
John Kelly said “Dave is ideally suited to this new leadership role in Melbourne. He brings his extensive experience and expertise in content across a number of SCA businesses in several locations. ”
Cameron started with Austereo in Melbourne in 1994, and his career in content with SCA has spanned 23 years working across both the Triple M and Hit networks in both local and national content roles in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, including 11 years leading Fox FM to consistently be Australia’s most listened to radio station.
Over the past 12 months Cameron has held SCA’s national content and development role, overseeing key national shows, leading SCA’s digital radio strategy, managing talent development, and creating new SCA partnerships including the major live concert series, “RnB Fridays Live”.
In addition to his Melbourne GM responsibilities, Dave will continue to head up SCA’s national talent development unit and digital radio strategy.
