SBS Radio kicks off Eurovision celebrations today with the launch of SBS Eurovision Radio, a non-stop soundtrack to the world’s biggest song contest, broadcasting 24 hours a day for the next two weeks until Sunday May 14.
This year’s Eurovision is set to be the most exciting yet, with audiences in Australia and around the world full of anticipation after Dami Im‘s second place finish in 2016 cemented Australia as a crowd favourite.
SBS Eurovision Radio delivers back-to-back Eurovision hits on digital radio, online and mobile showcasing the ‘official’ Top 100 Eurovision hits of all time, as voted by Australian Eurovision fans. Top tracks include Dami Im’s “Sound of Silence” (Australia), Conchita Wurst‘s “Rise like a Phoenix” (Austria) and Loreen‘s “Euphoria” (Sweden).
Australians have the chance to cast their vote again this year and support Aussie contestant Isaiah as he takes on Eurovision superpowers from 15 other competitors in Semi Final 1. He must qualify in the Semi-Final stage to proceed to the Grand Final.
SBS Eurovision Radio will simulcast the live SBS coverage of Semi-Final 1 (Wednesday May 10), Semi-Final 2 (Friday May 12) and the Grand Final (Sunday May 14) at 5am AEST.
Listeners can also tune into the simulcasts of the Eurovision Top 40 songs on Wednesday May 10 at 8.30pm and the primetime TV broadcasts at 7.30pm AEST on Friday May 12, Saturday May 13 and Sunday May 14.
All Australians are invited to join in the conversation and tweet their comments and party pictures using the hashtag #sbseurovision.
Tune into SBS Eurovision Radio on SBS Radio 4 on digital radio or stream online or via the SBS Radio App.
