SAS: Who Dares Wins is returning to SBS for a second season this March, the broadcaster has announced.
The show sees Chief Instructor Ant and his elite team of ex-Special Forces soldiers take 25 new recruits to the heart of the Ecuadorian jungle to see if they’ve got the physical and mental strength to pass the toughest military entrance process in the world: SAS selection.
The jungle phase of selection is widely seen as the toughest. On genuine selection, only a small percentage make it through. Every one of the tests in the series is based on authentic SAS selection and is designed to find a unique kind of soldier for a unit that operates outside the conventional.
From the minute they arrive, the recruits face gruelling psychological and physical exercises. They are subjected to intense psychological profiling, sleep deprivation, endurance tests and interrogation. The hostile jungle environment, the heat and the insects take their toll, as recruit numbers fall. It’s raw and unforgiving. Only the strongest can survive.
For nine intensive days the recruits will be pushed to the limit to discover if they have the psychological strength to succeed. Most will reach breaking point and withdraw, but which recruits will be among the few who make it to the end? Will anyone have what it takes to succeed in the Special Forces?
SAS: Who Dares Wins will air weekly from Monday March 27 at 9.30pm on SBS. The episode will be available after broadcast via SBS On Demand.
