The Australian Radio Network (ARN) has announced the appointment of Sam Thompson (pictured) to the role of content director for GOLD 104.3 further cementing ARN’s strategy in the Melbourne market.
From April 28 Thompson joins GOLD 104.3 from Authentic Entertainment (formerly MCM) where she spent the last three and a half years as group content director, growing the radio, digital and TV content divisions. Boasting a wealth of media knowledge, Thompson has over 25 years’ experience in the industry in pivotal roles across management, content development, marketing, PR and integration.
ARN national content director Duncan Campbell said: “Sam has had an impressive media career and I am excited to have her join us at ARN. Her intimate understanding of the Melbourne market and skills in working with key talent as well as generating unique and engaging content that resonates with a local audience will be key in driving the next stage of growth for GOLD 104.3.”

Thompson replaces Mal Lewis who leaves ARN after seven years to pursue other opportunities.
