Bonds is collaborating with Rolling Stone Australia to bring Australian musicians from an eclectic range of genres together for a charity underwear calendar campaign.
Offering a twist on the classic underwear calendar campaign, the message of support is the motif threaded throughout the calendar. Featuring an array of revered musicians and industry professionals, including John Nelson and Abraham Poni from Australia’s first African Australian-owned record label 66 Records.
In a statement of the announcement of the collaboration, Rolling Stone Australia creative director James Di Fibrazio said: “To bring musicians together from all genres to share a message and raise money for artists in crisis was really important. I can’t count how many laugh-out-loud moments we had shooting this.”
In a special offer from the collaborators, the first fifty calendars that are purchased through the website will be sent with a pair of Bonds’ Total Package underwear.
Shot on location in Melbourne, each image depicts the featured musician alongside their “greatest support” to them during their career.
Released alongside the calendar will be an exclusive series of interviews, where music industry icons share stories of the support provided by their networks during their careers. The Bonds X Rolling Stone Australia collaboration shines the spotlight on the unsung heroes of the industry: managers, roadies and publicists.
Rolling Stone Australia expanded its brand with the inaugural Sailor Jerry Rolling Stone Australia Awards in 2021. This year, The Brag Media announced the launch of the Rolling Stone New Zealand Awards, cementing the brand’s presence in the Asia-Pacific region.
Also featuring in the calendar are platinum-selling jazz and al-rock musician Felix Riebl of the Cat Empire and recently reunited pop-punk trio, Short Stack. The Bonds X Rolling Stone Total Support Calendar is available now.
