104.5 Triple M 10.0%
Audiences checked out in all dayparts except evening. The biggest loss was in morning and afternoon where each daypart share was down over 3.0. This is the station’s third successive drop and it is back to 2017 levels. Breakfast with Marto, Robin and Nick Cody slipped 1.1 to 10.6%. That’s well off its 2018 year-end share of 14.1% and its lowest share in 12 months.
4KQ 9.3%
Another huge survey for the over-achieving AM music station. It is no stranger to these sort of numbers though with a 9.9% last year and even one survey in double figures in 2017. Breakfast with Laurel, Gary and Mark continues to be a star performer with share up to 9.1%, now just 0.2 behind 97.3. This is the best start to the year for the breakfast team with shares of 10.5% and now 9.1% in the first three surveys of 2019. Morning is strong too with share up 2.0 to 10.0%.
4BC 7.6%
Alan Jones secures the big $8m paycheque because he’s building good audiences in Sydney and Brisbane. His 9.4% breakfast share is the best ever since Jones’ show added Brisbane breakfast. Ray Hadley too is venturing into unchartered territory – 8.0% up to 10.5% – with Queenslanders warming to the election campaign coverage he and his colleagues supplied.
Macquarie Sports 882 0.8%
Small bump this survey with drive and evening lifting share to just over 1.0%
