• HRD selects organisations that demonstrate best practice leadership as an employer

HRD has named Publicis Groupe Australia a winner in the prestigious 2021 Employer of Choice awards.

HRD selects organisations that demonstrate best practice leadership as an employer, providing initiatives and programs that support career progression, training and professional development, and the acknowledgement of a job well done in an inclusive workplace.

Publicis Groupe ANZ CEO, Michael Rebelo (pictured) said: “This award is a recognition of the connected and collaborative culture at Publicis that enables us to seamlessly work hand in hand across the organisation.

“Thank you to the incredible efforts and results delivered by the leaders of our agency brands and People & Culture team who everyday bring to life our various initiatives and programs with excellence. The ideas and talent strategies we have put in place in Australia and New Zealand has helped create a positive working environment and experience for all our people.”

Publicis Groupe ANZ’s chief talent officer, Pauly Grant added: “From our Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging strategy, to our industry-leading parental leave policy, expansive L&D program, and our progressive behaviour-based approach to flexible working, at Publicis Groupe we strive to provide rich learning experiences, and broad career opportunities to enable our people to grow exponentially within our organisation.”

The win closely follows last year’s recognition of the Groupe as a Finalist in the Australian HR Awards in the Employer of Choice and Best Change Management Strategy categories.

Earlier this year, Publicis Groupe Australia announced the acquisition of digital commerce transformation company, Balance Internet.

The company, which has been in operation since 2008, has worked with some of Asia Pacific’s leading brands, government agencies and educational institutions, including Ego Pharmaceuticals, Mitre 10, Total Tools, Krispy Kreme, Betta Home Living, and the Australian Government.

The company will sit within the Publicis Commerce unit, led by chief product officer, Jason Tonelli. Its directors, James Horne, David Crothers, and Mal Williams will report into Tonelli.
