Princess Pictures has appointed Jenni Tosi (pictured) managing director as the company looks to expands its horizons and market connections.
Princess Pictures’ founder Laura Waters said: “We have an ambitious and exciting slate planned and are thrilled to have Jenni on board to help steer the company through the next phase of growth.
Princess Pictures partner and executive producer Andrea Denholm added: “Jenni’s experience and skills will be a great asset to our business. She is a big picture thinker and her understanding of the screen industry and screen business is second to none.”
Tosi has a wealth of experience as an industry executive and independent producer. As CEO of Film Victoria for six years, she was highly effective in growing the state’s production activity and introducing a range of innovative and far-reaching initiatives aimed at expanding production, supporting businesses and developing talent. Before joining Film Victoria, Tosi enjoyed a successful career as an independent producer and consultant to a who’s who of Australian production companies, with credits including the award-winning Holly’s Heroes, Macbeth and The Legacy Of The Silver Shadow.
The Princess Pictures scripted comedy and factual catalogue included My Year 7 Life, Wrong Kind Of Black and Summer Heights High.
Owned by Laura Waters, Andrea Denholm, Paul Walton and Emma Fitzsimons, the company has two series currently in production – How To Stay Married for Network Ten and Superwog for ABC and YouTube. It is developing a number of drama series and formats for the local and international market.
