Pollinate, The Influence Group’s strategic consulting and insights company, has announced its Australian expansion with the opening of new offices in Brisbane and Adelaide.

The Brisbane office will be led by Kate Davidson, and the Adelaide office by Morgan Owen. Both report to Pollinate chief executive officer Howard Parry-Husbands. The new offices join Pollinate’s existing businesses in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra.

The expansion comes at a time of growth and recognition for Pollinate, including a number of new hires, key new projects and its inclusion in The Australian Financial Review’s 2022 Sustainability Leaders list.

Parry-Husbands said: “We are proud to expand our national footprint to include both Brisbane and Adelaide.

“The decision for us was an easy one. We understand that our work and services cover the whole of the nation, yet we believe it’s important to recognise that each state and territory is unique. Through local knowledge we can provide better, more meaningful thinking and insights for our clients.

“Morgan has been at the company for a long time and his decision to move back to Adelaide after the pandemic turned into a great opportunity to double down on our research specific to clients in South Australia, as well as national clients,” he said.

“We’re excited to welcome Kate to the team, who has a wealth of experience in research and analytics both here and overseas. We couldn’t ignore the growth opportunity in Queensland, where economic growth outstrips national performance, so opening there with Kate at the helm makes a lot of sense.”

Henry Tajer, The Influence Group’s chief executive officer, said: “Having a presence in both the Queensland and South Australian markets is a big step forward for not only Pollinate but The Influence Group as a whole. Pollinate provides the strategy and systems thinking that is so critical in marketing, and local knowledge of these markets is critical to our future success.”

Davidson has over 20 years of experience in market research and data analytics, having held senior roles at data management technology and solutions company DataOrbis and the Queensland Government, as well as Kantar in East Africa. Her work in Brisbane will focus on making the most of the growth opportunity in the local market, as well as across wider Queensland.

Owen has been at the Pollinate for 11 years and was previously research director, based in Sydney. His focus for the new Adelaide office will be on helping organisations in Adelaide and across South Australia prosper, with access to the best strategy and systems thinking.

Pollinate is part of the fast-growing marketing and strategic consulting business, The Influence Group, which also owns Social Soup, the largest influencer marketing business in Australia and New Zealand. Together, Pollinate and Social Soup employ 50 people around Australia and have recorded revenue growth of 30% a year over the past five years.
