Triton Digital has released its Podcast Ranker of Australia’s most popular podcasts for February 2022.
The Ranker provides insight into the Top 100 Podcasts as well as the Top 10 Publishers in Australia from 1 February through to 28 February 2022, as measured by Triton’s Podcast Metrics measurement service.
Stitcher has dropped to fourth this month, making the top three publishers ARN/iHeartMedia, LiSTNR(SCA), and Audioboom.
In the overall Top 100 Podcasts, ARN/iHeartMedia has claimed three of the top four positions. Staying steady in #1 is Audioboom’s Casefile True Crime, but the next four positions are taken by ARN: Life Uncut with Britany Hockley and Laura Byrne at #2, The Kyle & Jackie O Show at #3, and Stuff You Should Know at #4.
The top three on the list of Australian Made Top 100 Podcasts are the same as the Overall chart, with Stuff You Should Know not qualifying for that chart as it’s American-made.
There have been five debuts in the Overall Top 100 this month, with the highest-ranking debut being Stitcher Media’s Last Podcast On The Left at #33 with eight episodes and 96,323 monthly listeners.
My Sister’s Secrets, 3pm PickUp, Nine News, and I’ve Got News For You all appeared in the Overall Top 100 for the first time.
News Corp’s My Sister’s Secrets was also the highest Australian Made debut at #28.
There were some major rises in the overall Top 100 in February. News Corp’s true-crime podcast Who the Hell is Hamish? rose 69 places, The Daily Telegraph News Feed podcast rose 65 places, and SEN’s Whateley podcast rose 64 places.
In the Australian Made Top 100 list, News Corp’s I’ve Got News For You jumped a huge 106 places and LiSTNR’s The Scorecard with Liam Flanagan rose 103 places.
