PHD Australia has promoted Kathryn Weatherlake to Managing Director of its Melbourne office.

Weatherlake steps into the role after more than 14 years with PHD Melbourne, joining as one of the office's first employees.

She has helped grow the agency to more than 100 people, with clients including 7-Eleven, ANZ, Bunnings, HESTA, McCain, Porsche, SodaStream and Spirit of Tasmania.

Her promotion follows a strong year for the Melbourne office. Weatherlake played a key role in expanding the Bunnings account and helping the agency win 7-Eleven's Innovation Award for its work on the Japanese range launch and the Roblox x Kayo collaboration.

PHD Australia CEO Laura Nice said the promotion reflects Weatherlake's leadership and impact on clients and the agency.

“Kathryn is one of the most respected and trusted leaders in our business. She combines deep client expertise with an unwavering commitment to our people and culture. Her curiosity and ambition embody the pioneering spirit we want to bring to everything we do. This promotion is thoroughly deserved, and I am delighted to see her take the next step leading our Melbourne office.”

Weatherlake said: “I'm incredibly proud to take on this role, having been part of PHD Melbourne since its early days, it's been rewarding to see what we've built together and the calibre of people and clients we have today."
