PHD Australia has announced the promotion of Paula Malysevaite to the role of head of digital for its Sydney office.
Malysevaite joined the agency in 2019 as a digital director and was elevated to group digital director last year.
In her new role, Malysevaite will be responsible for the management and development of PHD’s digital offering in Sydney.
Malysevaite said: “Since starting in the industry, the digital marketing landscape has evolved immensely to match the rise of technological developments. Our clients, now more than ever, are embarking on the journey of digital transformation aiming to future-proof their businesses.
“I look forward to stepping into the new role and partnering with our clients and teams to help them continue to transform their digital product.”
Malysevaite will report into PHD Australia national head of digital, Gemma Dawkins, who joined the agency at the beginning of the year. Together with the head of digital in Melbourne, Liam Pook, the three will work to evolve PHD’s delivery and capabilities in the areas of digital, data and technology.
Dawkins said: “Paula has had a huge impact in the 3.5 years since she joined PHD, leading digital across some of our most sophisticated clients. Her passion for data strategy and seamless execution makes Paula a respected and trusted digital practitioner, but it’s her consistent focus on future-fit solutions for our clients that have earned her this rightly-deserved promotion.
“As the digital share of voice in our media mix continues to grow and with the consistent changes in the landscape, our clients and our people need strong leadership to challenge what’s next, and the appointment of Paula bolsters PHD’s national digital credentials. I am tremendously excited for both the technical expertise and the Paula passion that she will bring to our digital leadership team,” added.
During her time at PHD, she has worked across multiple clients including PepsiCo, Virgin Australia, Hewlett Packard and SC Johnson.
Malysevaite has previously worked at agencies including OMD, Starcom and Performics across multiple markets across the globe.
Malysevaite will start in the new role from January.
