Nova 93.7 14.4%: This looks like Nova’s second-best 10+ share ever. The numbers are powered by Nathan, Nat and Shaun in breakfast where share was up 1.3 to 15.5% which is their best ever in all the years in the timeslot. (Nathan and Nat started in 2003, Shaun is the newcomer, joining a decade ago.) As well as ruling in breakfast, Nova is also #1 in morning, afternoon and drive.
Mix 94.5 11.7%: Despite the surge in ratings at 96FM where the former Mix breakfast stars are again treading the boards, Mix has held on well to its audience. The station only dipped -0.4 to 11.7% 10+ and in breakfast was down 0.1 to 11.4%. While they don’t sound like shabby shares, both are the lowest, or close to, results in four years or more.
96FM 10.7%: It hasn’t taken Gary Roberts and is returning breakfast stars Fred Botica and Lisa Shaw from making an impact in the market. Breakfast share has jumped 1.4 to 8.4%, which is the best share since 2017. The station’s 10.7% is a massive jump and is the best share in over four years and only the third time in double figure in that period. All dayparts bathed in the glow from breakfast with morning up 3.9 to 11.3%, afternoon up 3.5 to 12.4% and drive up 4.0 to 11.7%. And all of a sudden 96FM in #1 40-54 with a share of 16.1% (+5.2).
Hit 92.9 9.0%: The numbers were steady here with a drop of 1.1 in morning the biggest move. Breakfast, now with Heidi, Xavier and Pete, lifted 0.9 to 8.8%. The station is still floating around its lowest 10+ shares although breakfast posted its best 2019 number.
6PR 7.7%: Breakfast with Steve and Baz was up 0.8 to 10.3 which is their best this year. A 7.7% for the station isn’t bad in its recent history – the best this year and just two surveys were higher last year.
6iX 5.1%: This is the third survey over 5% this year. Not much movement with morning, afternoon and weekends also trading above 5%.
