Bec Penn has been appointed Omnicom Media's Head of Retail Media
The appointment comes only two months after she launched her own consultancy.

Omnicom Media has appointed Bec Penn to lead its retail media operations in Australia.
The former Coles 360 and Cartology executive joins Omnicom Media as Head of Retail Media, only two months after launching a new consultancy agency, Obsessd.ai.
Before joining Coles 360 in November 2024, Penn was at Woolworths’ retail media arm, Cartology, for four years, as a senior product manager.
Omnicom said in a statement:
“Bec will be working with Omnicom Media Australia in a retail media leadership role.
"In the role, she is working across the business to strengthen our retail media capability, bringing together expertise from across our agencies and helping clients navigate the rapidly evolving retail media landscape.
“Bec brings deep expertise across retail media, digital product and commercial growth, having led large-scale transformation initiatives, built high-performing teams and delivered strong business outcomes across retail media, technology and platform ecosystems."

Omnicom Media appoints Matt Northey as Head of Education and Experience
Penn's new role comes as the company made another major appointment last month.
In August we reported that Omnicom Media Australia has appointed Matt Northey as Head of Education and Experience.
Northey joined from TikTok, where he was APAC Head of Global Education and supported Global Business Solutions across nine markets.
In the new role, Northey will oversee career development and employee experience at Omnicom Media Australia, while supporting transformation initiatives across the business.
His remit also includes developing pathways for career growth and leadership.
