Nova’s Red Room Vivid Sydney Edition kicks off with Australian DJ Hot Dub Time Machine performing on Thursday 16 June.
Nova and Vivid Sydney are partnering in 2022 for the first time, giving 600 fans the chance to experience one of the most unique Nova’s Red Room experiences yet.
Now in its 12th year, Vivid Sydney will transform the Harbour City into an illuminating fusion of creativity, innovation and technology from Friday 27 May to Saturday 18 June, with more than 200+ events celebrating the essence of Sydney’s soul including its diversity, beauty, resilience, First Nations culture, and vibrant creative community.
Live from Cargo Hall, one of Sydney’s most unique event spaces, guests will be able to immerse themselves in the best of Vivid Sydney, enjoying a stunning backdrop of an illuminated Sydney Opera House as they watch the exclusive DJ performance.

Since first launching the time-travelling, ‘dance-through-the-decades’ audio-visual party concept in 2011, Sydney’s Hot Dub Time Machine has become an international hit with global headline tours and festival main stages at ‘Splendour in the Grass’, the UK’s ‘Reading and Leeds’, Europe’s legendary ‘Tomorrowland’ and ‘Coachella’ in the USA.
Vivid Sydney 2022 is set to transform Sydney from 27 May to 18 June, and the exciting partnership will see Nova 96.9 as an official collaborator for 2022. This year, Vivid Sydney features its longest continuous light walk, linking the Sydney Opera House to Central Station.
Minister for Western Sydney Stuart Ayres said Vivid Sydney 2022 transforms the city into a vibrant fusion of creativity, innovation and technology and is a major celebration of our creative industries.
