NOVA Entertainment has launched new sign-in capabilities across its digital platforms, including the full suite of Player apps on Amazon Fire TV, as part of a push to increase audience addressability and personalisation for advertisers and listeners.

The commercial radio network said listeners can now register and sign in across all major connected TV platforms, including Amazon, Apple TV, Google TV and Android TV, following the Fire TV rollout.

NOVA said the authenticated listening data gives it a clearer view of how audiences engage across platforms, devices and listening environments. The company said this would strengthen its ability to deliver targeted advertising, additional device targeting and improved campaign measurement for commercial partners.

Golding: authenticated listening lifts ad value

Michelle Golding, NOVA Entertainment's Digital Strategy, Capabilities & Data Director, said expanding authenticated listening across more platforms delivers benefits for both advertisers and audiences.

"Authenticated listening gives us a deeper understanding of how audiences engage with NOVA across devices, content and environments, helping us build more meaningful audience insights and deliver greater value for commercial partners," Golding said.

"It enhances our ability to deliver more relevant advertising experiences, improved addressability and stronger campaign measurement, while also creating opportunities for smarter audience engagement strategies across our audio ecosystem."

"At the same time, enabling listeners to sign in across more of the platforms they already use allows us to create a more connected, personalised and rewarding experience, from content discovery through to loyalty and rewards," she said.

New Radio Tab, Win Tab added to Player apps

NOVA has also updated its Player apps with a new Radio Tab, allowing listeners to navigate, favourite and build a personalised playlist of stations from NOVA and its partner networks.

The Club Nova and Smooth Collective loyalty programs now include a dedicated Win Tab, letting listeners discover competitions from their favourite local stations and explore other NOVA brands and markets.

Streaming radio, connected car use on the rise

More than a third of Australians aged 25 to 54 stream radio each month, and more than half of all Australians can listen to audio in a connected car, according to Infinite Dial Australia 2026. NOVA said its availability across the recently updated Android Auto and Apple CarPlay experiences supports this growth.
