Representing the need for inclusivity in the beauty industry, Skinfluence breaks through beauty barriers that are still prevalent today. An original concept developed by the Nova Podcast team, Skinfluence is the first beauty podcast designed for everybody. Celebrating skin in all its glory, no matter who you are, Skinfluence will tackle the latest trends and products, alongside the best beauty and skincare tips, to have you looking and feeling your best.

With their impressive resume of celebrity clients and Instagram followings, Brown and Bhojwani cater for the diverse beauty landscape, highlighting the importance of inclusivity for all skin shades and gender expressions and more importantly having fun with beauty through makeup and skincare. They’ll provide knowledgeable insights, no matter what your beauty and skincare knowledge, from how to achieve the best fluffy brows, to the best age to start thinking about Botox and even demystifying microdermabrasion.

Rachel Corbett, head of podcasts and digital content said, “A lot of beauty content is directed at a very narrow demographic which can feel alienating for some people. Skin is something we all have no matter how we identify or what our background is, so we wanted to create a show with this in mind as beauty is something everyone should be able to enjoy. Our hosts, Michael and Alisha, have experienced this lack of representation in the industry first-hand so were the perfect choice to host a show that’s for anyone who wants to learn more about skincare and beauty.”

Brown said, “One thing I love about the beauty industry is that it’s constantly evolving, not only in terms of product, but also adapting to society changes. It has come a long way and I’ve seen it first-hand! I’m so excited to share every bit of knowledge I have gained over two decades to help anyone feel more confident within themselves through the new Skinfluence podcast.”

Bhojwani said, “It has always been a dream to start a podcast and I couldn’t be happier to be doing this with Nova. Our early experiences have shaped our approach to beauty. Growing up as a person of colour, the lack of representation and role models made it challenging to enjoy beauty, I shied away from wearing makeup until my early to mid-20s. And skincare? Forget about it! My hyperpigmentation was through the roof! Whether you find skincare overwhelming, want to shake up your beauty routine or simply just love hearing about what’s new, Skinfluence is for everyone.”

Skinfluence is an original Nova Podcast launching on Monday 7 February, with a new episode available every Monday, and is available here, on the Nova Player or wherever you access your podcasts.
