Nova 100 is continuing its long-term partnership with the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, which runs from March 29 to April 23.
Returning for a second consecutive year, Nova 100 has partnered with Live Nation to put on a special night of comedy – Nova’s One Night Stand to be held on Tuesday, 28 March.
Hosted by Nazeem Hussain, Urzila Carlson, Guy Montgomery, Guy Williams, Ray O’Leary, Melanie Bracewell, Chris Parker, Jason Leong and Daniel Fernandes will perform exclusively for listeners at the Forum Melbourne on Flinders Street.
Nova 100’s new breakfast show Ben, Liam & Belle will kick off the comedy festival with an outside broadcast from Degraves Espresso Melbourne, located in the city’s iconic Degraves Street, on Wednesday, 29 March from 6am to 9am.
The team will be interviewing some of their favourite comedians from this year’s comedy festival throughout the morning, with listeners invited to drop in for a coffee.
Ben, Liam & Belle are also on the hunt for Melbourne’s weirdest laugh and plan to host a very different comedy show, on Thursday, 20 April, as the comedy festival draws to a close.
Nova’s Ben, Liam & Belle will chat with a range of established and up-and-coming comedians in the lead up and throughout the festival. Nova 100 will feature ticket giveaways to shows on the circuit.
Last year, Nova’s One Night Stand was hosted by Nova’s drive announcer Joel Creasey. Some of the festival’s best comedians entertained over 300 listeners at the Lower Town Hall in Melbourne, with comedians Becky Lucas, Chris Parker, Guy Montgomery, Melanie Bracewell, Nazeem Hussain, and Urzila Carlson giving listeners a taste of the month ahead with a night full of laughs.
