Nova 100 continues its partnership with the Melbourne International Comedy Festival for the 12th consecutive year, from Wednesday 29 March.

Nova 100’s Chrissie, Sam & Browny will hold a live outside broadcast on 29 March from 6am at the Melbourne Town Hall (Lower Town Hall). Listeners can join the team, as they officially celebrate the launch of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, with some of the best comedians on the circuit including Tom Gleeson, Joel Creasey, Dave O’Neil, Nazeem Hussain, Luke McGregor, Dilruk Jayasinha, Danny McGinlay, Karl Chandler, Troy Kinne, Nick Cody, Judith Lucy and Denise Scott.

Showcasing over 30 comedy shows, Chrissie, Sam & Browny breakfast show will also chat to some of the biggest and most interesting comedians throughout the Festival.

Nova 100 and ahm health insurance will present the Hits & Giggles comedy gala event, featuring some of Australia’s freshest new comic talent, on Saturday 8 April at The Forum Theatre from 5pm. Guests can win tickets to this exclusive event only by heading to novafm.com.au or listening to Nova 100.
For the first time Nova will launch the Comedy Kombi, to take comedy to the streets. Nova’s Comedy Kombi will put on free pop-up comedy gigs in suburbs throughout Melbourne.

Greg Burns, Nova 100’s morning announcer, will appear alongside two top international comedians for Best of the Edinburgh Fest at the Forum Theatre and Melbourne Town Hall.

Friday Funnies (but not always on a Friday) will see Nova 100 roll out intimate and exclusive standup shows for key agencies and clients throughout April, delivering a unique and comedic take on the standard office drinks.

Throughout the Festival, Nova will feature ticket giveaways to the hottest and most exciting shows on the circuit and will cover the festival extensively online with reviews, highlights and videos, pop-up comedy and interviews. All content will be available on novafm.com.au.
