The Nova 100 new breakfast show, Ben, Liam & Belle, will launch on Monday, 5 December, in Melbourne.
The trio will be live and entertaining Melbourne listeners in the lead-up to Christmas as Nova’s regular breakfast teams take a break over the summer.
Ben, Liam & Belle were announced as Nova 100’s new breakfast show last month, and they are keen to get started, going live on Nova 100 right up to 23 December.

David McClung, Nova 100 program director, said: “We can’t wait for Melbourne to hear Ben, Liam & Belle. The great news is that they can’t wait either so they’re kicking off live on Monday.
“Listeners can expect a show like no other in the Melbourne market. Ben, Liam & Belle are the mates on the radio you’ll love hanging out with – and of course, it wouldn’t be a radio show if the team didn’t give away some cash!
“They love Melbourne, and we’re sure Melbourne is going to love listening to them across the summer and into 2023.”
Over the past three years Ben & Liam and the team have looked for ways to not only entertain but also support their audience and the community. They have been prepared to attempt almost anything to provide some fun or to give back to their listeners and Melbourne listeners can expect the same commitment.
From kayaking 11 nautical miles in just under four hours or running a marathon without training (and surviving), to broadcasting suspended from a human billboard or trying for more than 12 months and over 5000 attempts to finally get a hole in one and everything in between – and what could go wrong when you take a group of listeners to Bali!
COVID-19 was at its worst in Australia just weeks into Ben & Liam starting with Nova 919, and they introduced themselves to the audience by delivering groceries and essential items to listeners in need.
While in June 2021, Ben & Liam spent five days living and broadcasting ‘trapped’ inside a glass box in Rundle Mall. Not only did they create awareness for mental health and raise over $100,000 for Lifeline, the team won an ACRA for Best Community Service Project.
Ben & Liam built a loyal national following during their three years as hosts of Triple J’s breakfast show and over the past three years have made big impact on Nova 919’s breakfast show in Adelaide.
The team concluded their time on air in Adelaide at the end of October as the most listened to FM breakfast show in Adelaide for most of 2022 and the show #1 FM four times this year alone.
Ben Harvey said: “After getting married in April, the bosses at Nova finally let me take my honeymoon across November. So, I’m refreshed, recharged and can’t wait to get on air on Monday!”
Liam Stapleton added: “Brekky shows always head off on leave at this time of the year – but we’re ploughing on! We are all so excited to spend Christmas with the people of Melbourne. It’s everyone favourite time of the year and we’ll have heaps of give aways to make it even sweeter!”
Belle Jackson said: “It’s so good to be home in Australia’s best city and now I can’t wait for Monday to get started on air with Ben and Liam and Nova’s listeners!”
