ABC TV has again demonstrated its strong ability to create online engagement with its programs – Q&A, Four Corners and Insiders taking the top three non-news spots in the Nielsen Twitter TV Ratings last week. Federation, funding, disability and disunity were the themes of last Monday’s Q&A, which saw 3.5k unique authors tweeting 16.7k times.
FX’s finale of The Walking Dead also had Twitter buzzing, with 2.6k authors sending 6.2k Tweets about the ep.
In sport, Carlos Brathwaite’s cracker of a performance in the ICC T20 World Cup final – four sixes in a row to secure a victory for the West Indies – was at the top of the Twitter TV Ratings. 2.2k people did 6.9k tweets about the match.
Note: The ranking metric has changed from unique audience to Tweets.
