National Hockey League (NHL) will make its Australian debut with the 2023 NHL Global Series – Melbourne, live and free on 9Now and 9Go! on Saturday, September 23, and Sunday, September 24, at 2.00 p.m.
Nine’s Wide World of Sports will host two of the world’s elite ice hockey teams, the Los Angeles Kings and Arizona Coyotes, who will play at Rod Laver Arena in an action-packed weekend of ice hockey.
Nine Wide World of Sports, head of partnerships and strategy, Simon Fordham, said: “We’re thrilled to be jumping onto the rink with one of North America’s most loved and recognised professional sporting leagues.
“The NHL Global Series complements our total sports offering across the 9Network, and will stream live anywhere on 9Now in HD, all exclusive and for free.
“As we build the next decade of Olympics coverage exclusively on Nine, we can’t wait to showcase more sports such as this.”
Tickets to the NHL Global Series – Melbourne are still available for both games, as well as the Open Practice on Friday, September 22, via Ticketek.
