• Election tipsters will get to pit their skills against each other

News Corp Australia has announced that SuperVoter, its new election tipping competition will launch on Saturday, 23 April 2022.

Election tipsters will get to pit their skills against each other by picking the winner of each of the 151 seats contested in the 2022 Federal Election.

The SuperVoter website will include the results of the 2019 election and the margins by which the seats are held to help with picking the winners. While picking all 151 seats may sound daunting, it may only be 30 electorates that are really in play to decide the election.

SuperVoter will run on all of News Corp Australia’s state-based and regional titles, news.com.au and The Australian.

News Corp Australia managing director – consumer Mark Reinke said: “Our SuperCoach franchise is the largest fantasy sports game of its type in the country, and now for political pundits and current affairs followers we’re launching SuperVoter. We’re really excited to launch this innovative new game and invite our audiences to challenge themselves and play.

“SuperVoter offers a new way for all voters to consider federal politics in the lead up to 21 May and it will provide a different angle on the sentiment of Australians towards the election outcome.”

Punters will have until election eve, 20 May, to lock in their choices, allowing them to keep a close eye on the campaign and which candidates rise to the occasion and which ones falter along the way.

Entries will be time-stamped and the first person to pick all 151 winning seats, or the highest number of correct seats, will be declared the winner.

Players are in the running to be named Australia’s first SuperVoter, winning bragging rights and the coveted SuperVoter Golden Sausage trophy.
