Network Ten has appointed Louise Barrett (pictured) to the new role of executive general manager Sydney, reporting to chief executive officer Paul Anderson.
Barrett was previously Network Ten’s chief sales officer, a role she had held since March 2013.
Anderson said: “With the sales representation agreement between Ten and Multi Channel Network [“MCN”] taking effect on September 1, I’m very pleased that Louise has agreed to take on a new, important role in managing and continuing to build the relationships between Ten and our advertisers. She will also work closely with MCN to ensure we deliver the best possible service and results for our clients.
“Louise and her sales team at Ten have produced outstanding results this year in terms of revenue and share growth, and she will continue that great contribution in her new position.
“The alliance of MCN and Ten gives advertisers a new way to reach consumers across all video content distribution platforms and to bring their brands and ideas to life across multiple media,” he said.
“As part of her new role, Louise will manage Ten’s commercial integration division, which is working closely with our advertisers and with MCN’s multiply division to create bespoke, innovative ideas and integration ideas.”
Barrett said: “By joining forces with MCN, Ten has gained scale, new efficiencies, improved data capability and broader integration opportunities for our clients.
“There is a very exciting opportunity for Ten to capitalise on MCN’s extensive investment in technology and data platforms to drive better results for our advertisers. I look forward to working closely with MCN to achieve just that.
“The media business is largely built on relationships and I will be focusing on making Ten’s already strong advertiser relationships deeper and more effective,” she said.
