Murmur Group has welcomed two new senior appointments.
Taz Papoulias joins the Sydney-based independent agency as head of media, while Corey Middleton has been promoted to planning & strategy director.
Papoulias joins Murmur having previously worked amongst key industry agencies, Neil Patel Digital and most recently at True Sydney as its head of media and strategy.
Papoulias said of his new role: “I couldn’t think of a better place to work than Murmur. We both are customer-centric and data-driven – not to mention we don’t settle until we are proud of our work.”
Middleton joined the agency in 2020 as a senior digital marketing executive, and is one of the most talented and celebrated strategic thinkers in the industry, having won numerous awards for his planning and media campaign strategies.
Middleton said of his promotion: “At Murmur, we work with challenger brands who often have smaller, multifunctional marketing teams. Strategic support is hugely valuable to them and we will now be able to work closer with our clients on their more pressing challenges, and strategic tasks.”
Dave Levett, managing director of Murmur, said: “I’m extremely excited about the announcement of these two senior positions.
“Having worked with Corey for a number of years, and seeing him grow through the agency – and industry – with his results driven focus and leadership within the team, his appointment is due reward for his innate abilities to find the right strategy and solutions for our clients campaigns.
“I’m equally excited with Taz joining us with his years of industry experience, and digital nous. He’s a great addition to our team, and adds an increased level of expertise to the clients and brands that we work with.”
The appointment comes as Murmur continues to expand its client base, recently onboarding the Blacktown City Council ahead of the launch of the new $36.1 million state-of-the-art Blacktown Animal Rehoming Centre as their lead strategic and media agency.
