Miranda Ward has joined dentsu international as a senior communications manager after almost two years with The Australian Financial Review.
Ward covered media and marketing for the Fairfax Media-owned publication, and had been in the role since October 2020. Prior to that, she was a senior journalist for Nine Entertainment Co. and wrote her own weekly media column, Red Ink, for the masthead.
After just over a year as a journalist for Nine, she pivoted to the company’s corporate communications team as a manager supporting the head of corporate affairs and communications needs of Nine’s publishing business.
Ward also has previous experience in trade media as a reporter and deputy editor, and as a producer on Sky News.
Mark Di Stefano will now step into the media and technology beat at The Australian Financial Review after returning to Sydney from London where he was working as a reporter at The Information.
Ward’s appointment comes after the addition of three senior appointments to the Brisbane team, announced last week.
The Brisbane-based appointments are critical to extending the local capability of the agency network.
