To help us analyse the year we have called on executives from Australia’s finest media agencies. Special thanks to all those who took part and, to those who didn’t, we will be after you next year! Most popular references included listening to Spotify or Triple J’s Ben and Liam, while a lot of respondents enjoyed the OMD Big Day Outs!

Best event you attended in 2017?
Apart from my sister’s wedding in the South of France…I was particularly lucky to be able to attend the B&T Women in Media awards earlier this year. Having had a huge number of influential women in my life and career to date, it was very inspiring to be reminded of the many women (and men) committed to helping each other climb the ladder.
Favourite breakfast radio show?
I actually walk to work and use the time to call friends and relatives back home as time zones align so well, so I don’t listen to the breakfast shows! Otherwise, I have had my Spotify Premium account for years and am only embarrassed by about 20% of my 2017 top tracks this year!!
TV show on any platform you can’t get enough of?
Oh Lord, I am constantly blasted in the office for not keeping up with current series and am much more likely to be found watching a Jane Austen-esque period drama or checking out the documentary section of Netflix to bolster my useless pub quiz acumen! Currently I am totally addicted to the Brain Games series and playing along with the illusions and tests.
Memorable media moment from 2017?
Taking home the gold at the MFAs for the integration work we did with Ancestry and C10 on Long Lost Family was particularly special! It’s always great after a huge team effort and lots of hard work to see amazing results and even better when it is recognised by peers and the industry. Not to mention that it is always a pleasure to be able to get dolled up and celebrate in style with our team and clients.
New Year Resolution?
I am going to get my driver’s licence! My boyfriend and I have just bought a car and he has informed me that I am going to have plenty of practice finally taking my share of the driving on our long journeys back and forth to his family home in Shepparton!
