MBCS has welcomed the appointment of creative duo, Laura Murphy and Abby Clark.
Luke Simkins, group creative director of MBCS, welcomed the additions to the creative agency and said: “Appointing Abby and Laura bolsters our integrated offering across creative and experience where our team has grown exponentially since MBCS relaunched in 2022.
Simkins said he first came across the Sydney-based duo from judging Award School. “Abby and Laura performed very well and definitely stood out. I have witnessed first-hand how their creative ideas cut through and make an impact.
“I knew early on that I wanted their smarts as part of MBCS’ creative offering,” he added.
Simkins said the talented duo were “genuinely great people who are passionate about their craft and clients in equal measures.”
“They are charged with bringing their own unique brand of creativity to the team and will share their expertise across all our clients and pillars. I can’t wait for MBCS’ clients to benefit from their nGEN perspective and bold ideas.”
Murphy and Clark earned their creative stripes during a two-year stint at CX Lavendar after finishing AWARD School. The team was integral to the creative strategy for clients such as Headspace Australia, Westpac and nbn.
The duo said their best work is done when working together. They added: “It’s a great culture, the clients are diverse and we can’t wait to get started.”
This follows the recent promotions of Toby Maclachlan to head of Strategy & Product and Trent Peppercorn to the newly created role of head of Melbourne.
Olivia Warren, managing director of MBCS, welcomed the promotions for Maclachlan and Peppercorn and said that it recognises their leadership and success.
She also noted that the promotions will create “new opportunities and pathways for our next generation of leaders to grow while continuing to create the very best outcomes for our clients.”
