Man of Many has been appointed as a publisher member of the Australian Press Council.
The Australian Press Council aims to promote freedom of speech through responsible and independent print and digital media, and adherence to high journalistic and editorial standards.
Press Council members include the majority of Australia’s major newspaper, magazine, and online publishers.
Scott Purcell, co-founder of Man of Many, said: “We’re extremely excited as the first independent men’s lifestyle publisher to be appointed as a member of the Press Council.
“We continue to adhere to the best practice editorial standards in pursuit of building a more trustworthy press and the appointment supports our core value of remaining transparent in the application of our journalistic standards,” Purcell added.
Neville Stevens, AO, APC Chair, said: “It is gratifying that Australia’s small publishers are seeking membership of the Australian Press Council.”
“It signifies the value they place on maintaining high editorial standards and protecting press freedom,” Stevens added.
Coming up to its 10th year anniversary since launch in 2012, the appointment caps off an impressive period for Man of Many.
