Copyright Agency board director Kim Williams has been appointed as the organisation’s chairman.
Williams takes on the role from Sandy Grant who has chaired the not-for-profit for the past five years – and been a board member since 2002. Grant will remain on the board.
Williams, who joined the Copyright Agency’s board in January, is a former chief executive at News Corp Australia, Foxtel, Fox Studios Australia, the Australian Film Commission, Southern Star Entertainment and Musica Viva Australia and was also a senior executive at the ABC.
Kim Williams said, “I want to sincerely thank Sandy Grant for his tireless work for our members for the past 13 years. I am grateful Sandy will continue to serve on the Board. He must be congratulated for driving and supporting many landmark initiatives in his time as chair.”
Williams used to work with new incoming Copyright Agency CEO Adam Suckling at both Foxtel and News Corp.
