Grammy-nominated multiplatinum recording artist Joe Jonas will be filling the fourth and final red chair on the next season of The Voice Australia. The seventh season of the series will air in 2018.
Jonas replaces Seal, and joins returning coaches Boy George, Kelly Rowland and Delta Goodrem, who dated Jonas’ younger brother Nick back in 2011.
Jonas started as member of the band the Jonas Brothers, which also included brothers Nick and Kevin Jonas. They have hits such as “S.O.S.” and “Burnin’ Up” to their credit and have sold more than 17 million albums globally. Currently, Joe is the frontman of DNCE, known for the song “Cake By The Ocean”. The song has amassed nearly 300 million views on YouTube and generated over one billion streams worldwide.
After starring on The Voice earlier this year in the US, Jonas was selected by coach Adam Levine as mentor for his team.
“I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of a massive show like The Voice, especially getting to do it all in Australia where the fans are amazing,” Jonas said. “I had a taste of the show in the US this year, so now I have the knowledge to take #TeamJoe all the way in 2018.”
The Voice Australia is hosted by Sonia Kruger and produced by ITV Australia for Nine.
