Jaywing Australia, a performance marketing agency, and Frank Digital, a creative user-experience agency, have announced a unified leadership structure following the integration of both businesses.
To meet growing client demand, Jaywing’s data, insights, performance and conversion rate optimisation expertise have been integrated at Frank Digital. In addition, Frank’s creative, design and UX capabilities have been extended across Jaywing’s clients, giving both agencies, which continue to operate under separate brands, more holistic service offerings.
As part of the integration, Tom Geekie, managing director of Jaywing Australia becomes CEO of both agencies, supported by Ed Raine who has been promoted to head of digital strategy, working across both Jaywing and Frank Digital. Both agencies have also moved into a new office in Sydney’s Barangaroo.
Following strong local growth, UK-listed Jaywing PLC is also appointing an Australian board of directors. Chris Pittham, who was co-managing director at Jaywing Australia is stepping back from day-to-day management and will become a non-executive director.
Explaining the decision to align both agencies, Geekie said: “Increasing automation in media platforms is putting greater emphasis on creative which the Frank Digital studio bolsters. Conversely, from a digital product perspective, we can leverage Jaywing’s capabilities in data and analytics, conversion rate optimisation and search engine optimisation in the Frank Digital offering.
“Aligning Jaywing and Frank more closely enhances our serving offering and builds out the business in new ways. Integrating the two businesses allows us to bring data and creative to the heart of everything we do and meet growing client demand.”
Jaywing Australia launched in 2017 after acquiring Digital Massive, co-founded by Geekie and Pittham. It works with national and international clients on digital strategy, data and analytics, SEO, pay per click, programmatic display advertising, conversion and rate optimisation, for clients including Athena, Domino’s, Royal Doulton, Waterford Crystal and Princess Polly.
In 2018 Jaywing acquired Frank Digital and has built a reputation for delivering innovative digital platforms, working with clients including AMP Capital, Merivale, CanTeen, City of Sydney, and Western Sydney University.
With a global team of nearly 300, including 70 data scientists, Jaywing and Frank Digital have more than 50 employees in Australia.
Andrew Fryatt, CEO of Jaywing PLC said: “Our Australian business continues to grow and we have identified opportunities to develop it further. The new leadership team will enhance the collaboration between Jaywing and Frank Digital to ensure our clients have access to the best thinking across performance marketing, digital, creative and user-experience. These changes, and a new Australian board to oversee the business, will drive positive results for our clients.”
