BCM Group’s IVY PR has announced the appointment of Caley O’Neill as national client director/account director to lead client accounts and team operations as the PR agency continues its expansion nationally.
Caley joins the team with extensive PR and communications experience, specialising in strategy, media relations, and integrated campaign management. Most recently, she served as senior account director for HERO, where she led the agency’s PR offering.
Caley previously held agency roles at Sabio (formerly P4 Group) and has worked alongside a range of leading brands, including The Langham Hotels, Maybelline New York (L’Oreal), WOW Tech Group, BrewDog, Pinnacle Drinks, LSKD, and AMP Capital throughout her career. Prior to this, she held in-house roles across Mater Group, Esri Australia and UnitingCare.
In her new role, Caley will work alongside IVY PR’s co-managing directors, Mia Hamilton and Emma Bedsor, who were previously part of the leadership team at McCann Worldgroup (The Red Republic). Caley will be heading up the agency’s Sydney client roster, including brands such as amaysim, Strength to Give and THEODORE.
O’Neill said of her appointment: “There’s a really ambitious vision at the heart of IVY PR, which I love. Emma and Mia have created an agency that’s driven to challenge the status quo of traditional PR and bring integrated thinking to the needs of modern brands.
“I’m so excited to work alongside them both to bring this vision to life and expand on the success their talented team has seen to date.”
Co-managing directors Bedsor and Hamilton say the appointment was an important step in taking the IVY brand to the next level.
Hamilton said: “Caley’s appointment marks an exciting milestone for IVY PR as we strengthen our presence in the Sydney market.
“It has been genuinely wonderful to find such a like-minded and talented individual to help us nurture and grow our client base,” added Bedsor.
IVY PR has reported 60 percent YoY growth since its inception in mid 2021 and has expanded its full-time employee base from 2 to 8 in that time. The agency works as part of BCM Group, integrating with creative services, digital, and media buying capabilities.
Phil McDonald, partner and managing director, BCM Group, said: “The growth of IVY and the on-going new business success in the Sydney and Brisbane markets proves just how well our model is working for clients. Mia and Emma and now Caley are well positioned to continue the growth trajectory of IVY and in turn our whole group.”
