The top five shows in the UK for the week ending 8 October were the same top five as in the previous week and in the same order.
The standout was Doctor Foster, which had an increase of about one million viewers. Strictly Come Dancing’s audience increased by under half a million, while Coronation Street and The Great British Bake Off stayed steady.
The third episode of ITV’s six-part first season of Liar increased viewers by about 200,000. Mediaweek’s TV reviewer Andrew Mercado called Liar “must-see” TV.
