Simon Hobbs is joining the integrated communications firm Icon Agency as executive director of digital.
In this newly created role, he will lead Icon’s digital department with a focus on new business development and optimising the team’s processes and systems.
Hobbs brings significant management experience, having previously grown multiple teams across agency and government. His appointment follows two years of significant growth, which saw Icon double in size and revenue and earn 41 award nominations and 22 wins since the start of 2021.
Hobbs, a Drupal veteran with more than 30 years of experience, previously consulted for the New South Wales government for two years, focussing on the complex content platform that is the nsw.gov.au website.
Icon Agency continues to expand its portfolio of website design, development and content strategy projects, especially within the government sector.
