Hulsbosch has marked 40 years since opening its doors for business in Sydney, Australia, on Wednesday, October 26, 2022.
Led by visionary brand designer Hans Hulsbosch, the Hulsbosch company story is a four-decade journey from a two-employee start-up to the 30-employee creative and brand powerhouse it is today.
Hulsbosch said: “I’m very much looking forward to celebrating 40 years of the company. It is an incredible achievement and I’m proud of creating Australia’s most iconic brand identities whilst continuing to remain independent.”
Right from the beginning, the agency set a revolutionary philosophy whereby the brand was put first in the advertising and marketing mix to achieve the right business solutions for clients.
“As far as I can remember, I wanted to be in graphic design and have my own agency, and whole-heartedly believed in the power of a brand, brand design and branding,” he said.
“Partnerships with high-profile clients Qantas and P&O Cruises were pivotal moments at the beginning of the company. It’s been a privilege to be part of Australians’ lives, every day.
“Consumers engage every minute with a company or product designed by Hulsbosch. This regular scrutiny calls you out to assert main brand principles with creative solutions that are simple and truthful,” he added.
The Hulsbosch brand work for media company The Seven Network is recognised in 2022 as Australia’s fastest-growing brand – up 78% to AU$564m in brand value – by Brand Finance Australia, the world’s leading independent brand valuation consultancy.

The agency’s 40th birthday in 2022 caps a successful year in which Hulsbosch won gold and silver trophies at the Sydney Design Awards for SBS World Watch and QMS Media in the category of Community/Corporate for new brands in the media.
