Gold Coast’s Hot Tomato 102.9 FM has announced that Trev Butler is joining Moyra Major in 2022, to entertain listeners as they drive home.
After hitting the spotlight in Big Brother in 2004, Big Trev has been a part of Hot Tomato for over 10 years, working as a 102.9er on the streets of the coast and all of the station events.
3pm to 7pm weekday afternoons, Moyra and Big Trev will be all over everything Gold Coast. From the big events to free family fun, local traffic and important storm warnings – if it matters to the Gold Coast, they will cover it on the Gold Coast’s live and local drive home.
Naturally funny both on and off air, the pair are sure to keep Gold Coasters entertained and informed in a fun and unique way.
Moyra & Big Trev will be driving the Gold Coast home from January 2022.
Moyra Major, drive announcer said “Trev is someone I’ve loved working alongside at Hot Tomato for close to 10 years. And now I’m so excited to welcome him to the studio and can’t wait to spend the afternoon with him. He’s always been a favourite of mine and the Gold Coast”
Trev Butler, new drive announcer said “I am super pumped to be joining Moysie in 2022. While I’ll miss cruising round as a 102.9er, it’s time for a new challenge. I can’t wait to be on-air each afternoon driving the Gold Coast and Tweed home, before I drive home to Banora Point.”
Graham Miles, general manager said “It’s great to have two well-known Gold Coasters on Hot Tomato each weekday afternoon while the city drives home. Moyra and Big Trev are both connected with our listeners and advertising partners, and having them on-air together should be a lot of fun.”
