Fox League is back for another big year on Foxtel and Kayo with a host of new content on the slate, which was announced at the launch at Sydney’s CommBank Stadium on Tuesday.
Newly-retired Benji Marshall is stepping into a media career after 19-years on the footy field that saw him play for the South Sydney Rabbitohs, West Tigers, St. George Dragons and Brisbane Broncos.
New to the Fox League programming slate this year is Benji on Monday nights at 7.30 pm. The new Fox League recruit will be joined by current players and guests to dissect the round from his unique perspective.
Former Sydney Roosters star Braith Anasta will join NRL 360, alongside Paul Kent, Phill “Buzz” Rothfield and James Hooper as well as other guests, airing from Monday to Wednesday nights.
Fox League’s team of experts includes Matty Johns, Cooper Cronk, Gorden Tallis, Mick Ennis, Greg Alexander, Corey Parker, as well as Marshall and Anasta.
Fox League and Kayo will once again be the only places to catch every game of every round live and ad-break free during play.
Fox Sports executive director, Steve Crawley, said: “Last year we saw record numbers on Fox League and Kayo. Every year this great game seems to get bigger and better.”
“Fox League has a world class group of experts and callers and this year we are adding the great Benji Marshall. Our highest rating shows NRL 360 and The Matty Johns Show will return and we are working hard to add to our in-game innovations this season.”
Josh Addo-Carr and Jessica Sergis also join as Fox League ambassadors.
Kicking off every round on Thursday night from 7.00pm will be Thursday Night League hosted by Jess Yates, followed by a prime-time match. Friday Night Football with Hannah Hollis brings exclusive coverage of the double-header from 5.00pm. Coverage of the NRLW kicks off an action-packed Super Saturday ahead of Fox League’s exclusive triple-header hosted by Anasta.
The Sunday Ticket with Lara Pitt will also start with an NRLW game, followed by two NRL matches to round out the weekend with Andrew Voss, Dan Ginnane, Warren Smith, Matt Russell and Brenton Speed covering the ups and downs of each match for fans.
Returning in 2022 will be favourites The Late Show with Matty Johns, Sunday Night with Matty Johns and The Fan with Andrew Voss and Lara Pitt after every Super Saturday.
On Tuesday nights, three of Fox League’s biggest shows will rotate in block programming throughout the season, headed up by Face to Face with Matty Johns, The Matty Johns Podcast as well as League Legends.
Fox League, available to watch on Foxtel and stream on Kayo, is the home of rugby league with every game of every round of the 2022 NRL Telstra Premiership, plus all finals games leading into the Grand Final, live and ad-break free during play and in HD.
Live coverage of the NRL pre-season trial games will begin this Friday, February 18 on Fox League.
