Feel good radio: Nova’s Ben & Liam – 3 Weddings & No Funeral

Look at the trouble this Adelaide breakfast show went to last week for their listeners and three lucky couples – and they are not even in survey!

Ben & Liam arrived at Nova Adelaide at the start of 2020 and they are now less than 1.0 behind the market’s #1 FM breakfast show at Mix 102.3.

Last week in true Ben & Liam style, the budding wedding planners held their ‘3 Weddings & No Funeral’ event out of their own limousine. A vehicle purchase that saw them blow the marketing budget last month and an addition that has been very handy in a time of isolation. Keeping a distance has never been so easy in a vehicle.

Lauren, the celebrant from ‘I Do’ Drive Thru Weddings in Adelaide, married a different couple each morning from last Wednesday to Friday all around Adelaide.

Ben & Liam said: “There’s no sugar coating it, times are tough. Everything’s getting canned but you know what? Love prevails. Last week we wanted to put the Ben and Liam-o to use and spread some good vibes. In hindsight, one wedding would’ve probably spread ample amounts of “good vibes”. Planning three weddings within a week was for lack of a better word…BOONTA! We got there in the end though and we all had a blast.”

FRIDAY – Gabby & Lee Location: Himeji Gardens

Each morning Ben & Liam played their first dance song on the radio for them (including Metallica), plus Liam gave the best man/bridesmaid speech for each couple.

One couple requested Elvis – Can’t Help Falling In Love so Ben & Liam organised an Elvis impersonator to surprise them with a live performance.
