Erin Molan will expand her on-air role with Sky News, debuting a new weekly national affairs program, Erin, on Sunday, 19 June.

The Australian broadcaster and journalist will anchor the new discussion program each Sunday at 7.00pm, broadcast across Sky News on Foxtel, Sky News Regional or stream on Flash.

The new program, Erin, will replace Sharri in the one-hour weekly Sunday timeslot while award-winning investigative journalist Sharri Markson takes maternity leave.

An accomplished broadcaster, journalist and columnist for The Daily Telegraph, Molan joined Sky News in January 2022 as Primetime Contributor, providing insights across programs including Credlin, Paul Murray Live and Piers Morgan Uncensored.

Molan said: “I am so honoured to be launching Erin in primetime on Sky News. It is going to be a wild ride of engaging guests and topics to debate, discuss and analyse.

“It is a wonderful platform I will have at my disposal to get to the heart of the issues facing everyday Aussies and put the tough questions to our nation’s political and business leaders. I cannot wait to get started,” she added.

Paul Whittaker, chief executive officer, Sky News Australia said: “Erin Molan is a respected broadcaster and journalist who fiercely advocates on issues of national importance. We are delighted Erin joins our Sunday primetime schedule.”

Molan will continue as a columnist for The Daily Telegraph and co-host of the 2DayFM breakfast radio show. Throughout her career, she has held a variety of journalism roles covering sports and news for more than 17 years, working across television, radio and print.

In addition to her broadcasting achievements, Molan has worked tirelessly to advocate for new laws to protect the safety of Australians online. Her advocacy work resulted in the passing of new legislation, the Online Safety Act, in 2021.
