Nine started the week without an episode of Married at First Sight for the first time since the series started after the Australian Open. Nine was able to hold on to a winning start to the non-ratings week thanks to 60 Minutes which moved into the 7pm timeslot. After the current affairs powerhouse, Nine continued its Bourne film festival with the fifth installment in the franchise – Jason Bourne – which saw Matt Damon return to the lead role.
Nine ranked #1 in TV ratings at 6pm with Nine News on 801,000, #1 after 7pm with 60 Minutes on 585,000, but it slipped behind the ABC and Seven after 8.30pm.
After the Seven News, Seven went with Border Security on 398,000 and then Crime Investigation Australia on 336,000. There was not much interest from viewers in Seven’s 8.30pm movie – The Holiday from 2006 – with 174,000 watching.
10 had The Graham Norton Show at 7.30pm with 194,000. Two episodes of FBI followed with both just under 100,000. Earlier in the evening, The Sunday Project 7pm made the top 10 with 265,000.
The ABC’s best was the early Sunday screening of Bluey on ABC Kids with 607,000 which was enough to make it the #1 non-news show in Sunday TV ratings. A repeat just before the 7pm news was on 165,000. Grand Designs New Zealand did 328,000 and the audience lifted to 352,000 for Harrow.
A doco on The Titanic drew the biggest crowd at SBS with 228,000. It was followed by a UK special on the latest on Coronavirus research on 121,000.
