Domain opens The Block rooms to viewers in 3D
Viewers can explore completed rooms in the Domain app as each space is revealed during the 2026 season.

Domain will bring Matterport-powered 3D tours to The Block 2026, allowing viewers to explore completed rooms in the Domain app after each reveal. The activation extends the property platform’s commercial partnership with Nine across entertainment, news, sport and business.

As the exclusive property partner of The Block, Domain will publish immersive room reveals throughout the season. Viewers will be able to step inside each completed space and follow the progress of the homes beyond the television broadcast.
The Block premieres on Sunday 2 August on Channel 9 and 9Now. Domain said the integration would connect Nine’s television audience with its property technology and content.

The Matterport technology creates interactive digital versions of properties, allowing users to move virtually through rooms. Domain has also introduced the technology across eligible property listings on its platform.
Aisling Finch, Domain chief marketing and communications officer, said the integration would combine the businesses’ property, technology and entertainment capabilities. “The Block provides a unique opportunity to combine Domain’s property expertise, insights and technology with one of Australia’s most recognised entertainment brands.”

“This season, viewers won't just watch the homes take shape - they'll be able to step inside them through Matterport's immersive 3D technology, exploring every space as if they were there in person.
“Property is a category that Domain and Nine have built highly engaged audiences around. Bringing together Nine’s storytelling with Domain’s property expertise allows us to create richer experiences for consumers while delivering greater value for our customers.”
Partnership expands across Nine
The activation follows an expanded strategic partnership announced by Domain and Nine earlier in 2026. The agreement focuses on audience growth and new commercial opportunities across Nine’s portfolio.
Domain will gain greater access to audiences through its sponsorship of the Australian Financial Review Property Summit. Its property listings and market insights will also appear across The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age and the Australian Financial Review.
The investment includes Domain’s property publications, Domain Magazine and Domain Prestige. It also covers Nine properties including the NRL Finals Series, NRL Grand Final and Channel 9’s Open for Inspection.
Matt James, Nine chief sales officer, said the expanded arrangement would combine Domain’s property expertise with Nine’s audience reach. “Domain has long been a valued long-term partner of The Block, and we're delighted to see this expanded relationship coming to life across Nine's platforms.
“The Block remains one of Australia's most loved property and renovation franchises. Combining Domain's property expertise with Nine's premium content, major events and audience scale creates more engaging experiences for viewers and valuable opportunities for advertisers, agents and the broader property industry.”
Domain will also be the platinum partner of the Australian Financial Review Property Summit, which will be held on 7–8 September 2026.
