This nail-biting murder mystery has deception lies and betrayal as the game’s name, with Network 10’s new whodunnit The Traitors promising drama, excitement and intrigue. The Traitors will premiere on 10 and 10 Play on Sunday, October 16 at 7.30 pm.
Taking place in the manor of mystery, 24 “Faithful’s” will find themselves competing in challenges to unmask and eradicate The Traitors, all in a bid to take home the cash prize pool worth up to $250,000.
Hosting the social deduction game is Rodger Corser, who said of his return to 10 and his involvement in the show: “Who doesn’t love a great murder mystery and this one has all the intrigue and glamour of your favourite whodunnit.
“I can’t wait to see how our eclectic bunch of contestants compete with each other while navigating trust, betrayal and murder. I’m especially looking forward to watching our players pick each other off, one by one in the ultimate game of deception… and just like them, you’ll be dying to see how it ends”.
A psychological adventure series, The Traitors has already been commissioned across multiple territories, including the United Kingdom and the United States, with Network 10 promising to bring a unique Australian flair to the franchise.
In September, 10 provided Australians with the first look at The Traitors. Following this excitement, Peter Newman, CEO, Endemol Shine Australia, said: “Australian families can expect an entertaining mix of suspicion, deception and betrayal that will have them glued to their screens from beginning to end.”
Based on the format devised by IDTV, PosVideo and RTL and distributed by All3Media International Limited, The Traitors is produced by Endemol Shine Australia for Network 10 and premiers on 10 and 10 Play on Sunday, October 16 at 7.30 pm.
