Crocmedia has announced the launch of Rainmaker, a dedicated TV production services business to be run by former head of programming and production at GTV9 Tim Cleary.
Rainmaker will develop bespoke new shows for distribution both in Australia and overseas under the Rainmaker brand.
Cleary will also take responsibility for Crocmedia’s content division across all platforms in the role of chief content officer.
Rainmaker will provide production services to both broadcasters and brands, utilising purpose-built state-of-art TV studios in Melbourne’s Southbank.
Cleary, who oversaw major productions including The Footy Show, The Logie Awards, Millionaire Hot Seat, Carols by Candlelight and Channel Nine’s Olympic Games coverages during a 13-year career with the network, said he was excited about the new venture.
“I’m really looking forward to building Rainmaker from the ground up and exploring new formats across genres as diverse as sport to entertainment and lifestyle,” Cleary said.
