Channel Seven has announced that Sam Pang will host this year’s TV Week Logies on Sunday 30 July at The Star Sydney.
Pang will be the first host of the TV Week Logie Awards in 11 years, joining a list of names including Graham Kennedy, Bert Newton, Don Lane, Andrew Denton, and Shaun Micallef in the role. This is one of many changes being introduced in 2023 after Seven secured the broadcast rights to the Logies.
Currently, Pang is the co-host of Seven’s The Front Bar, with Mick Molloy and Andy Maher, and has been a star of 10’s Have You Been Paying Attention? alongside Ed Kavalee and host Tom Gleisner since 2013. He was also a member of Nova’s Melbourne breakfast team Chrissie, Sam, and Browny until the trio signed off in December after seven years on air, and covered the Eurovision Song Contest alongside Julia Zemiro from 2009 to 2016.

Sam Pang said “It’s a huge honour to be asked to host the Logies and while it will be weird not having a buzzer or beer in front of me, hopefully I’m up to the challenge. I feel very lucky to be a part of this industry and can’t wait for July 30 in Sydney to celebrate Australian television on its night of nights and guide viewers at home through the entire four hour broadcast.”
Seven Network’s chief content officer, entertainment programming, Angus Ross, said “Sam was on standby to accept an award for Kitty Flanagan at last year’s Logies and found himself up on stage and stole the entire show with his wry and witty asides. We are thrilled audiences will get even more of Sam Pang on Seven as he steers the ship across the whole night with his genuine affection for the industry, past and present, alongside his trademark humour.”
The 63rd TV Week Logie Nominations will be announced on Sunday morning at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney at 7.00am. The Logies are proudly supported by the NSW Government through its tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW.
The 63rd TV Week Logie Awards: broadcast exclusively on Channel Seven and 7Plus on Sunday 30 July from 7.00pm
