The television event, which goes to air on December 9, will see sponsors Thermomix, Kikkoman, Myer, Delonghi, Ocean Spray, The Benevolent Society and Yass Valley Tourism featured throughout the one hour special. In addition, all sponsors will be included in the Christmas issue of The Australian Women’s Weekly and on social and digital channels.
Some of the country’s favourite celebrities join Christmas with The Australian Women’s Weekly this year, including The Weekly editor-in-chief Nicole Byers chatting with Julia Morris about the “Christmas Survival Guide” article she has written for the Christmas edition of The Weekly, behind-the-scenes action at Jess Rowe’s cover shoot for the Christmas edition of The Weekly as well as a craft segment with Jess Rowe and Sarah Harris where they upcycle Christmas decorations.
Additionally, audiences can take a behind-the-scenes look at Melissa Leong’s photo shoot with The Weekly promoting her new book A Taste Adventure, see special Christmas messages from Maggie Beer, Emma Watkins, Patti and Lauren Newton, Anthony and Lucia Field, Jimmy Barnes, Moana Hope and many more, and see the amazing story of Hui Jun – a 96-year-old Tik Tok sensation.
Hosted by Sarah Harris, the TV special features recipes including an oozy, cheesy pull-apart wreath; Warren Mendez cooks pork belly with soy and lime marmalade; a beautiful roast turkey with all the stuffings and sides; and Diana Chan puts a spin on a Christmas classic with a chocolate meringue wreath.
The team also travelled to Yass to explore the region’s local businesses and regional produce and dropped into a Myer fashion shoot at the heritage Yass Railway Museum.
