This week the Australian box office made $6.05 million, up 67% from last week’s $3.63 million.
There are three new films in the top five this week.
Halloween Kills is a slasher film following on from 2018’s Halloween, and the twelfth installment in the Halloween franchise. Another year, and the murderous Michael Myers has escaped once again to continue his annual bloodbath.
If you feel like a cheerier film, Ron’s Gone Wrong tells the story of Barney, a socially awkward schoolboy who receives a walking, talking, robot named Ron that’s supposed to be his best friend. Barney is excited to finally have his own robot, until his new toy starts to malfunction.
My Hero Academia the Movie World Heroes’ Mission is a follow on from the My Hero Academia anime. With two hours until the collapse of civilization, Deku, Bakugo, and Todoroki manage to work as a team, but there’s still one problem: Deku’s on the run for murder.
Dropping out of the top five are Malignant, Free Guy, and Paw Patrol: The Movie.
