Bledisloe Cup 2024 TV Guide: How to watch Wallabies v All Blacks in Sydney

Bledisloe Cup

It’s been 22 years since Wallabies won Bledisloe, 9 years since they beat All Blacks in Sydney.

The Wallabies are hoping for a breakthrough in an effort to end a 22-year hoodoo, when they meet the All Blacks in the 2024 Bledisloe Cup, this Saturday at 3.15pm, live and free on Channel 9HD, 3pm on Stan in 4K.

Australia last won the Bledisloe Cup back in 2002. There have been some individual matches won against the All Blacks since then, but not many.

The Wallabies last beat the All Blacks in Sydney in 2015 with a 27-19 scoreline. The Wallabies also won a game in 2017 in Brisbane 23-18. There were also wins in Perth in 2019 47-26 and a narrow victory in Brisbane again in 2020 24-23.

New Zealand won both 2023 games at the MCG and in Dunedin.

In the first of two games in 2024, James Slipper will become the most capped Wallaby of all-time in his 140th Test match, surpassing George Gregan, in a team welcoming back injured stars Fraser McReight, Hunter Paisami, Noah Lolesio and Tom Wright, while 34-year-old veteran halfback Nic White also earns a return to the green and gold.

The All Blacks are boosted by the experience of the returning Beauden Barrett at fullback, when he lines up alongside his brothers Jordie and team captain Scott.

Showdown in coach’s box

In the coach’s box the highly anticipated showdown between two New Zealand natives will take place when the Wallabies’ Joe Schmidt meets breakdancing All Blacks coach Scott Robertson. So far they have a similar international win record and desperately want to win the trans-Tasman battle to validate their appointments.
