Jessica Torstensson steps up to GM – Growth at Bench Media
Ori Gold: "She challenges our thinking, brings a clearer understanding of our clients’ businesses and helps turn that into stronger recommendations."

Bench Media has promoted Jessica Torstensson to General Manager – Growth.
In the new role, Torstensson will oversee Bench's growth strategy across client strategy, senior client partnerships, new business and the agency's market profile. She will work with the senior leadership team on the agency's full-service offering.
Ori Gold, Bench CEO and co-founder, said the promotion recognised Torstensson's contribution to the agency's strategy, client relationships and growth since she joined.
“Jess has made a real impact on the way we approach client strategy. She challenges our thinking, brings a clearer understanding of our clients’ businesses and helps turn that into stronger recommendations. She’s also helped raise Bench’s profile and shape the next stage of our growth.
“Clients respect Jess because she understands their businesses and gives them a straight answer. Her team respects her because she’s generous with her experience, challenges their thinking and is committed to developing the people around her. Giving her a broader role recognises that contribution and gives her more scope to shape our strategy and support our people.”
Torstensson has more than 20 years of experience in media and marketing, with previous roles at Atomic 212°, CHEP and OMD. At Bench, she has built senior client relationships, contributed to new business wins and helped develop the agency's junior talent.
Torstensson said: “What drew me to Bench was the chance to help ambitious brands grow with a team that cares deeply about the work and the people behind it. Over the past year, I’ve seen how much we can achieve when we bring strong strategy, honest client relationships and great people together.

“I’m proud of the momentum we’ve built and excited to take on a bigger role in where we go next. That means continuing to win the trust of clients, investing in our team and making sure our growth creates real opportunities for both,” she concluded.
Over the past year, Bench has won Hisense and Prospa across ANZ, and expanded its Bikes Online remit into the US. It has also launched Bench Lens, a research and audience intelligence offering developed under Torstensson's leadership.
Earlier this year, Torstensson founded The Room Collective, an Australian community for women working in media, marketing and publishing.
She joined the independent media agency as Client Growth Director in November 2025.
