Singles
Miley Cyrus’ grip on the #1 singles spot with Flowers shows no sign of wilting, however her reign at the top of the ARIA Singles Chart could be under threat, as PinkPantheress’ Boy’s A Liar flies to #3 from #25 last week. It’s the English singer, songwriter and record producer’s first hit in Australia.
Also stepping in the top 10 for the first time are Miguel’s Sure Thing at #7 (it originally peaked at #11 in 2011) and Coi Leray’s Players at #8. It’s Leray’s first hit single here and Miguel’s second top 10, following his 2013 teaming with Mariah Carey on #Beautiful, which topped out at #6.
Recent visitor to Australia, Fred Again.., is on the move with Delilah (pull me out of this) jumping from #37 to #25.
Albums
American rock band Paramore has taken out the top spot on the ARIA Albums Chart this week with This Is Why.
Pushing aside Taylor Swift’s Midnights, This Is Why is Paramore’s first album since After Laughter in 2017, which peaked at #3. They have scored two #1 albums in Australia: Brand New Eyes in 2009 and Paramore in 2013.
Also new to the Albums Chart is The Jaws Of Life by Pierce The Veil at #8
Re-entering the top 50 after her massive Super Bowl halftime performance are Rihanna’s 2007 album Good Girl Gone Bad at #32 and 2016 album Anti at #35.
